K-STARTUP GRAND CHALLENGE

Accelerating Program

(3.5 months)

60 teams will be selected to join a 3.5 month-Accelerating program during their stay which they will receive :

  • a free office space
  • 1-on-1 mentor
  • coaching for the Korean language and Asian business culture, consulting on patents, accounting, tax laws etc.
  • access to networking sessions with Korean startups and large companies

Free Office and Project Space

(Startup Campus)

Selected teams will be provided with project space including equipment for product / service production and development, testbeds, as well as an incubating infrastructure at the Startup Campus in Pangyo Techno Valley.

Living Expenses

Each of the 60 startups participating in the program will receive monetary aid to cover the living expenses during the 3.5 month stay in Korea.

∙ Total amount: $10,840 (₩12,250,000) per team

Korean Interns Support

(3.5 months)

The program will provide Korean interns to assist your business in Korea for 3.5 months. (1 intern per 2 teams)

The intern will help break down Korean language and cultural barriers when participating the KSGC program and support the Korean business.

Help Desk & Visas

The participating teams will benefit from the KSGC program as Korean government will permit to ease Visa regulations for the teams. Support for housing and administrative work will be provided as well.

Final Package

Grant for Top 20 Startups
Each of the selected top 20 startups will be eligible to receive funding for 3.5 months.

∙ $10,840 (₩12,250,000) per team

Grant for Top 5 Startups
1st Prize : $120,000 (₩144,000,000)
2nd Prize : $70,000 (₩84,000,000)
3rd Prize : $40,000 (₩48,000,000)
4th Prize : $25,000 (₩30,000,000)
5th Prize : $15,000 (₩18,000,000)

Additional Investments :
The accelerators may invest in promising participating teams, and the startups may be connected with other VC’s who may have interest in the KSGC participating startups.

Corporate Sponsorship and Support

Korea’s largest tech companies will participate in various seminars, workshops, and 1-on-1 mentoring sessions. If you need any help beyond the scope of the K-Startup Grand Challenge program, you can be a partner with these companies and receive resources and their expertise.
